In this publication, a series of transcriptional riboregulators are characterized. The design is based on a terminator hairpin that can be inactivated by a small trans-activating RNA (STAR). The authors characterized a big range of parts, but the ones chosen for the repository were the ones shown to behave orthogonally (10-86) and the ones with the highest dynamic ranges (1-9).
