In this publication, Jahn and colleagues characterize the copy number of commonly used origins of replication in the SEVA repository. Because reported copy numbers often vary between measurement methods, this is the only work on origins of replication on the database. Values represent the average measured in the populations. Heterogenous populations deriving from uneven plasmid distribution were also detected for two of the origins.
