In this publication, Scott and Hasty perform some optimization an extensive characterization of four quorum sensing promoters and their regulators. They combinatorially test each composition of inducer, regulator and promoter triad, to different concentrations of each inducer. However, tuning the regulator expression could still modulate dynamic range and orthogonality. This work is still a valuable resource in finding orthogonal quorum sensing systems.

All of these parts are further characterized in another work featured in the repository, along with two others, although not with as many combinations, and in differend conditions.
